Uproar on the Lagoon is a classic comedy by Italian playwright Carlo Goldoni (La baruffe chiozotte, 1762), returning to the stage of the Divadlo Na Vinohradech after thirty years. The action takes place in the Italian coastal town of Chiozza, where fishermen spend their time at sea and women remain on shore — a situation that leads to misunderstandings, quarrels, and jealousy between two extended families. Courtship and romantic tactics ignite disputes that escalate into insults and threats of brawls, until finally the judicial authorities intervene and everything concludes with multiple weddings and general reconciliation. The production is directed by Juraj Deák, with Aleš Procházka, Jiří Maryško, Tereza Bebarová, Sára Rychlíková, Karolína Knězů, Jiří Panzner, Andrea Černá, Jana Kotrbatá, František Beleš and others in the cast. Live music is provided by musicians Shahab Tolouie, Klaudie Le and Pablo Escobar Robles together with the Mime Choir of Divadlo Na Vinohradech. Costumes were designed by Sylva Zimula Hanáková.
