Three Companions

Three Companions is a musical-theatrical production about the legendary Chinese poet Li Po, set against the dramatic events of the Tang Dynasty. The script was written by Petr Maděra, inspired by historical events and legends surrounding the poet Li Po, his friends, and predecessors. The concept and music were created by Alžběta Trojanová. The production is an exceptional collaboration between AMU students, members of the Wirama Galih gamelan orchestra at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Prague, and graduates of the Darmasiswa study programme in Indonesia. Olga Fadli Pětivoká and Karolína Mbaye contributed to the set design and shadow effects, while costumes were designed by Agáta Belak Molčanová. Cast: Jiří Spišák, Kanwar Šulc, Kateřina Hankeová, Olga Fadli Pětivoká, Anisah Fadli Pětivoká, and Alžběta Trojanová. The gamelan orchestra is directed by Agus Prasetyo. The production is presented as a guest performance as part of the Child in the Long Street festival and is recommended for ages 15 and up. A discussion follows the performance.
