Vodní hrad Švihov, Švihov

Hrady CZ is a touring summer cultural festival, with its jubilee 21st edition taking place in summer 2026 across eight historic monuments in various regions of the Czech Republic. The Švihov stop runs on July 24–25, 2026 at Vodní hrad Švihov, a water castle surrounded by moats between Plzeň and Klatovy.

The festival comprises two parts – České hrady.CZ and Moravské hrady.CZ – and has long-term cooperation with the National Heritage Institute. The Saturday ticket price includes access to the castle's guided tour routes (capacity limited).

Complete 2026 line-up: Friday's programme closes with Rybičky 48, preceded by Mig 21, Rytmus, Grey256, Trautenberk, and Vega Elektra. Saturday evening concludes with Daniel Landa after the band Mirai; also performing are Vypsaná fixa, Harlej, Krucipüsk, Tomáš Klus, Xindl X, Lenny, Brixtn, and Adaline. This year's edition features extended ninety-minute concerts by Daniel Landa and Mirai.

Concerts take place on two stages in meadow areas close to the castle. The site opens Friday at 15:30 and Saturday at 10:30. The programme includes the traditional castle mask carnival, celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year – it starts Friday at 19:30. Payment in the venue operates via a cashless system with rechargeable NFCtron wristbands.

Accommodation: free classic tent village; paid VIP camps with showers, toilets, and catering; VIP camp PLUS with pre-set tents, sleeping mats, and sleeping bags. The festival encourages cycling – most castles are located near cycle routes.
