Songs of Waldemar Matuška - Yo, the Cherries Were Ripening

A concert tribute to the legendary Czech singer Waldemar Matuška, who began his career at the Semafor Theatre. The programme features his unforgettable hits from the 1960s and 1970s — "Nightingales from Madrid", "Rose from Texas", "Yo, the Cherries Were Ripening", "Song for Kristýnka", "Zuzano", "Beyond the Water in the Reeds", "Oh, That Heavenly Love", "Shh", "Fifth", "I Caught a Butterfly in the Clearing" and more. The lead vocal role is performed by Bohuš Matuš, with other performers including Bára Grafnetrová, Nikol Ďuricová and Dita Hořínková. The concert is interspersed with spoken word and occasional dance performances. The band plays in the following line-up: R. Linhart (piano), R. Musil (saxophone), J. Greifoner (bass) and M. Kuzma (drums). The premiere took place on 13 February 2026.
