Description was written before the event

On Saturday, 23 May 2026, Studio ALTA participates in the 12th edition of the Open House Praha festival (18–24 May 2026) and opens to the public the building of the former Panský brewery in Libni. It is a late-Baroque building from the early 19th century with a rectangular floor plan and a gabled roof, its corner emphasised by fine rustication. The brewery was damaged by flooding in the late 19th century and closed in 1900; a fire station gradually emerged here, and from 1969 onwards the S. K. Neumann Theatre. Today, the building, owned by the Prague 8 municipal district, is home to the multicultural arts centre Studio ALTA, which has been gradually building a new cultural centre since 2023 and plans a complete renovation — the new residential programme "House of Concentration" is scheduled to open in 2027. Visitors can tour both the upper and lower buildings as part of guided tours that start on the hour. Entry is free and no prior registration is required. Most festival buildings are open from 10 to 18 hours.
