Summer School for Teachers

Wed, 19 Aug 2026 · — Fri, 21 Aug

Kunsthalle Praha, Prague

A three-day summer educational programme for educators at Kunsthalle Praha runs from Wednesday 10:00 to Friday 13:00. It is designed for teachers at all school levels and gallery lecturers. The programme includes lectures and workshops focused on contemporary art: under the guidance of photographers, participants will create their own works; through Krištof Kintera's projects "Building Sculptures and Girl with a Dove", they will explore the relationship between sculpture and architecture and create their own concrete objects. The programme also features a unique performance by Alex Mirutzia and an exploration of various approaches to art collecting and exhibition – through the Ovidius Sandor collection and selected works from Kunsthalle Praha. Guest speakers include Christelle Havranek (chief curator of Kunsthalle Praha), Barbora Ropková (collection curator), Štěpánka Stein (photographer and theorist), Radomíra Sedláková (architecture historian), and Radek Mužík (sculptor). The course fee is 2,500 CZK and includes lectures, workshops, exhibition entry, light refreshments, and a closing lunch. The price is reduced thanks to support from the BPD Foundation. Three scholarship places are also available for 500 CZK – interested applicants should send a motivation letter to learning@kunsthallepraha.org by 30 June, with results announced by 14 July.
