KRHANICE OPEN AIR 2026

Sat, 1 Aug 2026 · 13:00 — 23:59

Fotbalové hřiště TJ Sokol Krhanice, Krhanice

Krhanice Open Air is a one-day festival of extreme music (death metal, grind, thrash metal, hardcore) held annually on the football pitch of TJ Sokol Krhanice, approximately 35 km southeast of Prague. The festival starts at 13:00 with around 10 bands performing on a single stage. For 2026, the legendary death grind band FLESHLESS from northern Bohemia's Děčín has been announced as the first act. Further bands will be announced gradually on the website krhaniceopenair.cz.

The site is accessible from Saturday morning, with more adventurous visitors arriving Friday evening. Camping is available on the adjacent meadow next to the car park. Two food stalls serve hot and cold food, and there are plenty of seating areas including covered sections. The event takes place in all weather conditions.

Parking is available directly at the football pitch. Most visitors arrive by direct train from Prague (Main Station, Vršovice Station, or Braník Station) straight to Krhanice station. From the Main Station and Vršovice Station, you can also travel to Čerčany and change to a train to Krhanice. For driving, it is best to take the old Benešov road and turn towards Týnec nad Sázavou at the village of Babice, from where the route to Krhanice is signposted. The festival is supported by the non-profit organisation Rytmus Střední Čechy.
