King of the Jizerské Mountains – Year-Round Sports Challenge

King of the Jizerské Mountains is a year-round sports challenge organized by the Slavia pojišťovna Sport Team, inspired by legendary skier Standa Řezáč, who lives in the Jizerské Mountains and won the famous Jizerská 50 three times. The 50 km route, which follows the Jizerská 50 course, can be completed on cross-country skis, by bike, running, or hiking – the challenge is open to movement enthusiasts regardless of their preferred sport. Each participant must complete the route while passing through all 5 mandatory checkpoints, take a photo (selfie) at each one, and send these photos to the organizer's email kral50@slavia-pojistovna.cz along with their home address. The competition is open to everyone who loves healthy movement and the Jizerské Mountains – entire families, including children, participate. Every participant who completes the challenge receives a unique cap signed by legendary Standa Řezáč and the title of King (or Queen) of the Jizerské Mountains. The challenge takes place during the winter season in the picturesque Jizerské Mountains around Bedřichov, where the Jizerská magistrála begins – a well-maintained cross-country skiing trail system with a total length of over 180 km. A throne for the King of the Jizerské Mountains stands at the Bedřichov stadium as a photo point for participants.
