Boží Dar

The Votvírák Festival will not take place in 2026. The originally rescheduled 2025 edition (17th year) was moved to June 18–21, 2026, but will not be held in this alternative timeframe either. The 2025 edition was cancelled primarily due to debts of the main organizer Artur Kaiser, who was in pre-trial detention at the end of 2025. The organizing company Svět kultury s.r.o. (2025 edition) is facing insolvency proceedings, and the company TI motion s.r.o. (2026 edition) also failed to meet its obligations. The festival is now undergoing a transition to a completely new organizing team with no ties to previous structures. A new edition is planned for 2027 – the specific date, venue, and further details will be announced shortly. Ticket holders from the affected editions will have the opportunity to reactivate their tickets free of charge for the 2027 edition; detailed instructions will be sent by email. If they choose not to use reactivation, they must claim a refund directly from the respective organizer or through legal proceedings. Since 2007, the festival has traditionally been held at Boží Dar airfield in Milovice, Central Bohemia (25 km from Prague), and has focused on Czech and Slovak acts in the genres of rock/hard & heavy, pop, hip hop, and dance music. The 210-hectare venue can accommodate up to 20,000 tents and parking for more than 10,000 cars.
