Grandfather's Tractor

Grandfather's Tractor is a traditional demonstration event organized by the Čáslav branch of the National Agricultural Museum, held every first weekend in June. In 2026, it will take place on June 6–7 from 9:00 to 17:00 in the NZM Čáslav grounds. Over both days, selected historical agricultural machines will be demonstrated in operation on the museum's demonstration field – tractors, combine harvesters, and stationary engines from the museum's collections and private collectors. The programme includes commented demonstrations of the machines and a skill-driving course that holders of a valid driving licence can try. A rich accompanying programme for children and adults is also prepared, including the opportunity to ride along on a historic tractor. The event continues a long-standing tradition – the first edition was held in 2004 and, except for the COVID years 2020 and 2021, it has been held annually.
