In the Footsteps of Old Tišnov Railway
Musilka, Brno
A guided walk with Jiří Kotrman along the historic route of the old Tišnov railway line, organized by a collective of authors, the Brno-North city district, and the Omega Cultural Centre. Participants meet at the railway tracks in the park on Tkalcovská Street in Zábrdovice. The walk follows the single-track railway line that connected Brno with Tišnov from 1885 until its closure in 1962. The tour includes a visit to the buildings of the former railway station in Zábrdovice and access to the usually inaccessible remains of a railway bridge on Vranovská Street (climbing at own risk). Jiří Kotrman is a long-time railway history enthusiast and co-author of the book "The Last Train Through Brno's North – 60 Years Since the Closure of the Old Tišnov Line". The first 200 participants will receive a raffle-eligible original Participant Certificate. Entry is free.
