Open House Prague: Technical Facilities of the National Library

A guided tour of the technical basement of the National Library at Klementinum takes place on Friday, May 22, 2026, as part of the accompanying programme of the 12th edition of the Open House Prague festival (May 18–24, 2026). Tours are scheduled at four times: 11:00, 14:30, 15:30, and 16:30. Visitors will venture into spaces that normally remain hidden and discover the technical heart of this significant Baroque landmark. Klementinum is one of the most important buildings in historic Prague and is a national cultural monument. The Open House Prague festival opens the city free of charge to all groups of residents – entry to accompanying events is usually free, though some events may require advance booking through the festival app (available for Android and iOS).
