Theatre NIE presents the production "We Come from Far, Far Away" at Palác Akropolis in Prague. The performance tells the story of two boys from Aleppo journeying to Norway. Against the backdrop of a journey through Turkey, Greece, Macedonia and onwards to Oslo, the narrative unfolds about things, people and places, and ultimately about life and death. The production about displacement and refugees, intended for younger audiences (10+) and adults, is performed inside a Mongolian yurt and employs live music, storytelling, clowning, shadow theatre and a small tent. The Theatre NIE ensemble created the project in collaboration with the Norwegian reception centre for refugees Hvalstad Transittmottak, which serves as the first reception point for young refugees (aged 13–18) who have arrived in Norway without parents and are seeking asylum. The production has over 400 performances worldwide and in 2017 won the prestigious Hedda Award for best production for young audiences. The international theatre ensemble of Theatre NIE combines physical theatre, a mix of languages, live music and storytelling, bringing together artists from the Czech Republic, Norway, Great Britain and other countries. The performance is in Czech.
