From the Herbal Cup at Hoslovice Water Mill 2026
Vodní mlýn Hoslovice, Hoslovice
The Museum of Central Pootaví in Strakonice organizes a craft event "From the Herbal Cup" at the water mill in Hoslovice on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 10:00 to 16:00. Admission: 80 CZK (full) / 40 CZK (reduced).
In the mill complex, visitors can enjoy traditional bread baking in an old-fashioned oven with tasting, a craft fair, guided tours, mill wheel demonstrations, and children's workshops. The band Marnotratníci will perform.
The Hoslovice mill is the oldest preserved water mill in the Czech Republic, with a history dating back to the 14th century. The complex consists of a mill with residential quarters, barns with storage, and a granary, all covered with thatch. The mill has been managed by the Museum of Central Pootaví in Strakonice as a branch since 2008. This season brings new attractions to the site: an open repository of agricultural machinery (completion planned for late June 2026) and a new children's water play area covering 330 m² with a stream, sluice gates, a water wheel, a winch, and a mini power plant.
