Farmers Market at Zelňák in Brno 2026

Thu, 1 Jan 2026 · 06:00 — Mon, 2 Nov

Úřad městské části Brno-střed, Brno

The farmers market at Zelný trh (Zelňák) is a unique open-air marketplace in the heart of Brno's historic centre. Zelňák is the only place in the country where customers can find a wide range of local and imported agricultural produce almost year-round, six days a week. The trading season runs from 1 January to early November, when fruit and vegetable stalls are replaced by Christmas markets. The market is open Monday to Friday from 6:00 to 18:00, Saturday from 6:00 to 14:00, and closed on Sundays. The market has 130 trading spaces. Customers will find fresh fruit, vegetables, seedlings, flowers, spices, honey, juices, jams, fermented vegetables, young wine, and original flower arrangements. The market is primarily run by local farmers and small producers — around thirty different ones operate throughout the season — their stalls are marked with green-striped signs. Occasional sellers bring surplus from their gardens and are mainly seen in the morning and early afternoon hours. The market capacity is supplemented by traders offering resold goods, whose tables are marked with orange-striped signs. Farmers offer their own home-grown produce mainly in the lower part of the market, with traders selling above them. The upper row is occupied by the Dobroty na Zelňáku gastro zone with beach loungers for seating. In addition to regular market operations, seasonal and thematic farmers markets, food festivals, craft fairs, cultural and leisure events, and celebrations are held here. The market is administered by the Brno-střed city district. Current information about available products and sellers is available on the website trhynazelnaku.cz and on the Facebook page Trhy na Zelňáku.
