Description was written before the event

Gallery 4 presents an exhibition by Luděk Vystyd Jr., "Something About Cheb" in the spaces of Club G4 (Františkánské nám. 1, Cheb). The opening reception took place on April 17, 2026 at 6:00 PM; the exhibition runs until May 20, 2026. Luděk Vystyd (*1962, Uherské Hradiště) is a Cheb-based visual artist and architect who has long been drawn to the city of Cheb in his work – a place that has become not only his home but also an inexhaustible source of inspiration. The cycle developed gradually over recent years and captures the artist's personal perception of the city. Vystyd works with colored drawing and combined techniques, layering colors and other materials onto canvas or hardboard panels. The results are neither literal vedutes nor nostalgic returns, but subjective images, fragments and situations that may appear as visual riddles – each work, however, has a real foundation. The artist offers his own interpretation of Cheb, where precision gives way to personal experience and the search for new perspectives. Club G4 opening hours: Tuesday–Friday 10:00–16:00 or by arrangement.
