Rest in Your Room

A theatrical comedy "Rest in Your Room" (original title "Ripcord") by David Lindsay-Abaire, an Oscar and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and screenwriter, directed by Miroslav Hanuš. The play was written on commission for the Manhattan Theatre Club in New York and had its world premiere on October 1, 2015. We can choose our friends, relatives less so, and roommates in a senior home not at all. What can happen when two very different residents meet in one double room and both want the "better" bed by the window? A bet over it goes to extremes, even though the bed itself is not really the point. Two reluctant roommates are played by acting legends Daniela Kolářová and Marta Vančurová. The supporting cast includes Petr Stach, Lucie Pernetová, Štěpán Benoni, and Jiří Ployhar. In the role of Mr. Heinz, special guests Jiří Novotný, Josef Bláha, Vlastimil Čaněk, Dalimil Klapka, and others alternate in different performances. The performance lasts approximately 1 hour 35 minutes including intermission. The show is performed at Studio DVA theatre in the Palác Fénix passage at Václavské náměstí 56 in Prague 1.
