Oscar for Emily is a conversational comedy with surprising twists by authors Folker Bohnet and Alexander Alexy, translated by Magdalena Štulcová and directed by Petr Slavík. An aging married couple, Emily and Henry, await the Academy Awards ceremony – both hoping their lifelong acting careers will be rewarded. They pass the time before the evening ceremony with discussions about appropriate attire and reminiscences. When Jeff from a delivery service arrives, they finally have the audience they so desperately need. However, the young messenger's curious questions soon reveal that not everything they think and say is true. And at the end comes a big surprise.
