Together we will immerse ourselves in the rich world of folk poetry as perceived by the great masters of classical music. Following the traces of folklore in the works of Janáček, Dvořák and Bach, we will be guided by cellist Margit Koláčková and singer and percussionist Jana Procházková.

About: Antonín Dvořák

Antonín Dvořák (1841–1904) was one of the most important Czech composers of the Romantic era. His output spans symphonies, chamber music, operas, and songs, and he gained worldwide fame above all with his Symphony No. 9 "From the New World". Dvořák's gift for melody and his blending of Romantic tradition with folk influences made him a central figure in 19th-century classical music.
