Iron Cycling Routes Festival in Karviná 2026

The Iron Cycling Routes Festival is an international cross-border event for cyclists of all ages, taking place on the weekend of May 16–17, 2026. Karviná is one of the partner cities of the "Iron Cycling Routes Festival – cycling gateway to the region" project, with other partners including Petrovice u Karviné, Godów, Jastrzębie-Zdrój, and Zebrzydowice. The Karviná venue is located at Masaryk Square, where visitors of all ages will find a cycling carousel, obstacle course, and family entertainment zone with giant games, puzzles, and an animation programme featuring clowns. Partner municipalities offer diverse accompanying programmes: in Jastrzębie-Zdrój, kayaking trips, cycling shows, and bike and painting workshops; in Petrovice u Karviné, a gastronomic festival "Taste the Middle Ages"; in Godów, wine workshops, ecological activities, a historic bicycle exhibition, and fire service demonstrations; in Zebrzydowice, a street food zone and rest facilities for cyclists. Participants can collect stamps at individual venues and enter a raffle for small prizes. The festival is free and suitable for families of all ages and fitness levels.
