NUOVO TESTAMENTO | SOFT VEIN

A double concert at Brno's ARTBAR brings together two distinctive figures of the dark electronic scene. NUOVO TESTAMENTO is a trio based between Los Angeles and Bologna that has captivated dance floors over several years with darkly-toned pop hits infused with italo disco flavour. Following the cult coldwave EP Exposure in 2019 (Avant! Records), came the acclaimed album New Earth in 2021 featuring elegant club elements inspired by the 1980s, infectious rhythms, and a strong dose of synth-pop. The first two vinyl editions of 500 copies each sold out within hours, and the record was hailed as one of the most significant underground albums of 2021. The singles "Picture Perfect" and "Dream On" blend freestyle, synth-pop, and alternative music into a dancefloor-ready whole. SOFT VEIN is a darkly-toned solo project by California-based musician Justin Chamberlain, who debuted in late 2022 with a pair of singles – the haunting "GIVEUPTHEGHOST" and its industrially-tinged follow-up "VIOLENTIA". By combining influences of cold wave, industrial, and modern darkwave, he creates a vivid portrait of despair and longing in darkness with a strangely romantic undertone.
