Description was written before the event

Šoa (full title: The Story of Miloš Dobrý, The Story of Hana Pravdová) is an intimate production by Švandovo Divadlo based on authentic testimonies of two Holocaust survivors. It explores the true fates of two completely different people – athlete Miloš Dobrý and actress Hana Pravdová – who found themselves in the same places at the same time, yet never met. Both survived Theresienstadt, Auschwitz, the death march, and post-war injustices. The production is also based on the book by Jiří Pravda and Hana Pravdová "Short Stories from a Long Life". The play was written by Tomáš Hrbek, Lucie Kolouchová, and Daniel Hrbek, who also directed and designed it. The lead roles are performed by Zuzana Onufráková or Marta Dancingerová and Miroslav Hruška. The production premiered on October 25, 2010, and has since been a permanent part of Švandovo Divadlo's studio repertoire. The English version titled "The Good and the True" was successfully presented in Great Britain, Brussels, and New York. In June 2026, the theatre plans to present Šoa in Israel – at Khan Theatre in Jerusalem and Malenky Theatre in Tel Aviv. The performance runs 60 minutes without intermission and is performed in the theatre's studio stage.
