Another Round

A theatrical adaptation of the Oscar-winning film (Best Foreign Language Film 2020) created in collaboration with the film's director Thomas Vinterberg and Klaus Flyger. Four middle-aged friends and high school teachers (of history, music, physical education, and psychology) have long since abandoned their life goals and dreams in both their professional and personal lives. Burnout has caught up with them, and they survive in the monotonous stereotype of daily obligations. Until one day, at the 40th birthday celebration of the youngest among them, they learn about a peculiar theory by a Norwegian philosopher – it claims that humans are born with a deficit of half a percent of alcohol in their blood. If they supplement it, their lives would be more vibrant, they would have greater self-confidence, be more creative, and overall happier. They decide to test this thought experiment in practice. A cruel Nordic comedy in which dancing eventually happens... but at what cost? Starring Petr Stach (Martin), Jacob Erftemeijer (Nikolaj), Tomáš Petřík (Peter), and Robert Jašków (Tommy).
