Where Fairy Tales Sleep

"Where Fairy Tales Sleep" is an interactive fairy-tale performance for children presented by Divadlo Viola in Prague. Fairy tales sleep in the theatre, for example — and that is exactly the kind of theatre that children will build together with the actors throughout five fairy tales. The masks of comedy and tragedy argue about which is more beloved, audiences will meet seven different curtains and learn what each one can do. They will figure out how to handle a set piece that doesn't belong on stage, see what it looks like when a ghost haunts the theatre, and finally take a ride on the theatre's turntable. In this playful way, children learn how a theatre works. The performance takes place in the intimate space of Divadlo Viola on Národní Street in Prague 1.
