Art Workshop: Cyanotype

took place · 23 May 2026

Kasárna Karlín, Prague

Description was written before the event

A creative workshop focused on cyanotype – a historical photographic technique from the mid-19th century that uses the photosensitivity of iron salts to create distinctive blue-and-white images (also called blueprints). The workshop is suitable for both children and adults. Participants will go through the entire process: from preparing light-sensitive paper, creating compositions with plants, negatives, or other objects, to exposing the paper to light and developing the print. You will take home your own handmade artwork. The event takes place in the Kasárna Karlín complex (Prvního pluku 20/2, Prague 8 – Karlín), where all spring 2026 programmes are held in the courtyard.
