Hurvínek and King Flea

Hurvínek and King Flea is a puppet performance by the Spejbl and Hurvínek Theatre for children and adults, which premiered on 26 May 2023. The entire life of Spejbl and Hurvínek changes when they discover that their beloved dog Žeryk has fleas. Hurvínek persuades Mr. Spejbl to start a flea circus – and Mr. Spejbl seizes the opportunity. What happens when the ruler of the land grows old, becomes bored, and a cunning bloodthirsty flea takes power while advisors agree to anything just to keep their positions? Our puppet heroes intervene once again, this time in a kingdom that has fallen into despair and stupidity. Can Mrs. Kateřina cook up a repellent against foolishness? The performance lasts approximately 70 minutes with an intermission and is recommended for children aged 6 and up. Direction and concept by Miki Kirschner, script co-written with Robin Král, music by Jan Lstibůrek. Performed by Martin Trecha, Jana Mudráková and Jakub Šafránek.
