On Friday, 22 May 2026, Marketa Stadium will host the final of FIM Speedway of Nations 2 (SON2) for the first time — the world championship for junior teams under 21 years old. Eight of the world's best national teams will compete in 28 paired races, with the highest-scoring country winning the FIM Team Speedway Under-21 world championship title. The defending champion is Germany, which won in 2025 in Polish Torun. The home Czech Republic will compete under the leadership of captain Adam "Bubby" Bednáře, supported by Adam Nejezchleba and Bruno Belan as a reserve. Ukraine makes its historic debut in the competition, replacing Latvia, and will compete under the leadership of Speedway GP rider Nazar Parnitsky. Other participants include Denmark, Australia, Poland, Sweden, and Great Britain. The race takes place as part of a speedway weekend at Marketa — the following day, on Saturday, 23 May, the 30th anniversary FIM Speedway Grand Prix of the Czech Republic will be held. The organizer is Auto Club Marketa under PSK Olymp; tickets are available through the Ticketportal network.
