The Little Mermaid

A musical staging of The Little Mermaid, directed by Jakub Vašíček with dramaturgy by Tomáš Jarkovský, is a theatrical adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's famous fairy tale. The story explores where we belong in the world, where we are heading, and what we are willing to sacrifice — a tale of love in many forms, the human world, and the mysterious underwater realm. This lavish production features a live orchestra and brings together a large ensemble of actors from Divadlo Minor, including singer and chanson performer Monika Načeva. The music was composed by Daniel Čámský, the set designed by Kamil Bělohlávek, and the costumes created by Tereza Vašíčková and Kateřina Housková. The performance on 21 May 2026 is the final show — the last revival of the production that premiered on 9 March 2024. The performance runs for 120 minutes including an intermission. Suitable for audiences aged 7 and above.
