Soft Touches – Lucie Rosická and Nikola Emma Ryšavá
Gočárova galerie, Pardubice
The exhibition Soft Touches (17 May – 30 August 2026) at the House U Jonáše (Pernštýnské nám. 50, Pardubice) brings together the work of two artists who explore how the perception of the body and personal identity transform in the age of social media. Lucie Rosická creates embroidered textile images – a relatively unique medium in contemporary art – capturing the female body and its transformations through needle and thread, symbolizing the hidden aspects of female existence. Nikola Emma Ryšavá creates sculptures at the boundary between the human and the inhuman from raw concrete; her works often bear a mask, reflecting the roles and masks we wear due to social expectations. Together, the artists highlight the pressure of constant visibility and comparison in online spaces. The exhibition is curated by Aneta Kopecká. The exhibition runs in parallel with Tomáš Němec's exhibition Unknown City in the second exhibition space of the House U Jonáše. The gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday 10:00–18:00. A ticket is valid on the same day for the second building of Gočárova Gallery at Automatické mlýny.
