Dejvické Theatre: "Clogged System"
Měšťanská beseda, Plzeň
A recording of the cult production by Dejvické Theatre, adapted from Irvine Welsh's short stories, returns to the screen of Kino Beseda in a remastered version with significantly improved image and sound quality. The production "Clogged System" is based on the short-story collection and film screenplay by Scottish writer Irvine Welsh, "The Acid House". The sad protagonists are young people unable to escape the strange impasse of their lost existence. Welsh's stories are rawly honest, filled with drugs, harsh language, and football, exploring the dark corners of the world and the soul. Beneath the dark humor of the anecdotes lies a powerful generational testimony. The production won the Alfred Radok Award for Best Production of 2012. Ivan Trojan won the Alfred Radok Award 2012 in the Best Male Acting Performance category for his role as God and was also nominated for the Thalia Prize for this role. The cast includes Ivan Trojan, Miroslav Krobot, Václav Neužil, Hynek Čermák / Matěj Hádek, Jaroslav Plesl / Lukáš Příkazký, Petr Vršek, Martin Myšička / Pavel Šimčík, Martin Pechlát, Jana Holcová, Klára Melíšková, Lenka Krobotová, and others. Not suitable for minors under 15 years of age.
