Asparagus and Wine Festival in Ivančice 2026

The Asparagus and Wine Festival in Ivančice is one of the oldest gastronomic festivals in the Czech Republic, organized since 1994 by the Ivančice Cultural and Information Centre. The 32nd edition will take place from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 May 2026 on Palacký Square in Ivančice (Fri 11:00 – Sun 18:00). Asparagus has been linked to Ivančice for over a century – even Empress Sissi enjoyed Ivančice asparagus. The music stage will feature bands and performers including Queenie, Slza, Martina Pártlová, Moravians and others. A children's programme with Fíha Tralala is prepared. The festival includes cooking shows by Roman Paulus, Markéta Hrubešová and Jan Vorl, wine and food pairings, asparagus specialities paired with wines from regional wineries, and selected menus from local restaurants. There is also a food and craft market and fresh asparagus for sale. The ticket includes festival entry, a guide with recipes and gastronomic programme, and discounts on entry to the V. Menšík exhibition, A. Mucha exhibition and the Ivančice church tower. On Saturday until 11:00, short-term entry is available on deposit (20 minutes) for shopping in shops on the square. Some accompanying programmes (screenings at Réna cinema, entertainment in Réna park, etc.) are charged separately. Parking is available in the P+R car park – up to 13 hours for 10 CZK, each additional hour 50 CZK.
