High in the mountains, life unfolds somewhat differently. Close to glaciers, cut off from civilization, you see the stars on the night sky more clearly, you can meditate in absolute silence or feel humility in the face of the elements. But also observe from the front row, as it were, the retreat of ice masses and the devastation that comes with it. A poetic documentary touching on Alpine peaks is dedicated to people who move at heights, yet do not elevate themselves above anyone. Rather, they remain in place, surrounded by nature, just as this film attempts to capture the genius loci of an environment where time is usually measured in eons and things.
