Přežívat Derridu (2026)
Original title: Surviving Derrida
- Genre: Documentary
- Country: Mexico
- Runtime: 78 min
Twenty years after the death of philosopher Jacques Derrida, the film embarks on a highly intimate and philosophical journey alongside one of his closest companions: Avital Ronell. Rather than offering a biographical account, the film explores the ways in which Derrida's presence, embodied by those who survived him, continues to haunt, inspire, and provoke. Through diverse, multifaceted conversations with his widow Marguerite Derrida, his son Pierre Alferi, close friends Hélène Cixous, Suzanne Doppelt, and Anne Dufourmantelle, the film takes on the form of a kind of cartography of friendship, loss, exile, and legacy. A documentary woven through with humor, sorrow, and metaphysical reflection becomes an essay on philosophical intimacy, poetic communication, and an unfinished process of farewell.
