About the venue

Hukvaldy Castle is one of the largest medieval castle ruins in the Czech Republic, built in the 13th century and historically used as a residence of the Olomouc bishops. The castle grounds are open to the public and host various cultural events, including the Janáčkovy Hukvaldy music festival, named after composer Leoš Janáček who was born in the nearby village.
