About the venue

The Municipal Museum and Castle Týnec nad Sázavou is housed in a medieval castle above the Sázava river. The complex is dominated by the Romanesque rotunda of St. Clement from the 12th century, one of the best-preserved of its kind in Bohemia. The museum covers the history of the town and surrounding region, and the castle also hosts cultural events and seasonal guided tours.
