About the venue

Tipsport Aréna Praha (now Sportovní hala Fortuna) is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the Holešovice district of Prague 7, built between 1953 and 1962. Until 2015 it served as the home rink of HC Sparta Praha; the club now uses it as a training facility. The arena hosted the Ice Hockey World Championship four times (1972, 1978, 1985, 1992) and the Davis Cup final in 1980. With a capacity of over 13,000, it also stages concerts, sporting events, and exhibitions.
