About the venue

Duchcov Castle is a Baroque château in northern Bohemia, built in the 17th–18th century for the Waldstein family. It is world-famous as the place where the Venetian adventurer Giacomo Casanova lived and died between 1785 and 1798, serving as the estate's librarian. Today the castle is open to the public as a museum and cultural venue hosting regular events.
