About the venue

The Gallery of West Bohemia in Pilsen is the most significant gallery institution in the Pilsen region, founded in 1954. It occupies two historic buildings on Pražská Street: the Masné krámy exhibition hall (a Gothic building from 1392, converted into a gallery in 1972) and the "13" exhibition hall in a Gothic-Renaissance house. The collection holds over 10,000 works spanning the 14th century to the present, including a notable cubism collection. The gallery hosts exhibitions, concerts, lectures, and educational programmes.
