Karel Hvížďala

About

Karel Hvížďala is a Czech journalist, publicist and author of book-length interviews. After emigrating in 1978, he worked with Radio Free Europe, Deutsche Welle and the BBC. Returning to Prague in 1990, he joined the daily Mladá fronta and co-founded the magazine Týden. He is best known for his interview books with figures such as Václav Havel, Milan Kundera and Arnošt Lustig.
