Miroslav Zikmund

About

Miroslav Zikmund (1919–2021) was a Czech traveller, writer and filmmaker. Together with Jiří Hanzelka, he undertook celebrated long-distance expeditions across Africa, the Americas and Asia, documenting them in books and films. Their journeys became iconic and continue to inspire new generations of travellers.

Faces of the Orient

A photographic exhibition in the Náprstek Museum courtyard documents African expeditions in the spirit of legendary travellers Hanzelka and Zikmund. The free outdoor installation runs until the end of May.
