Faces of the Orient
Národní muzeum, Prague
free entry
Faces of the Orient is a photographic exhibition installed in the courtyard of the Náprstek Museum of Asian, African and American Cultures (Betlémské náměstí 1, Prague 1). The exhibition runs from 15 January to 31 May 2026 and continues the museum's tradition of regular outdoor photography exhibitions in its courtyard. The photographs document expeditions by travellers following in the footsteps of the legendary duo Jiří Hanzelka and Miroslav Zikmund – specifically the Expedition Z101 project, during which Tomáš Vaňourek travelled across the African continent. The exhibition is accessible in the museum's courtyard, which is freely open to the public. The museum is open daily except Mondays; the Dorado Coffee café in the courtyard is open daily except Mondays from 10:00 to 18:00. The courtyard also features an unsupervised children's playground with play equipment.
