Paul Signac (1863–1935) was a French painter and a leading figure of Pointillism and Neo-Impressionism. Together with Georges Seurat, he developed the technique of applying pure colour in small dots based on scientific colour theory. He is best known for his vibrant harbour and seascape paintings.
