Bubeneč – Quarter of Artists, Yet Also of Dark History

A guided walk through Bubeneč will focus on the quarter of diplomatic missions and wealthy residents, as well as traces of the Nazi and Communist eras, StB activities, and contemporary Russian-owned properties.
The programme includes both Suchard villas and buildings by architects Jurkovič, Králíček, Hilbert, and Zasche, the renovation of entrepreneur Daniel Křetínský's villa, and properties owned by Russian investors. The route also includes a stop at the empty and deteriorating Rozkot villa on Hradčanská.
Guides: Klára Zemanová & Petr Zeman. Meeting point: exit from Hradčanská metro station onto Dejvická street. Children under 15 free; strollers welcome, though the terrain is more challenging for them. The walk is a charity event – proceeds from admission will support the restoration of small monuments managed by the association and its operations.
