Promise, I'll Be Fine

The film tells the story of fifteen-year-old Enrique, who grows up with his grandmother in a forgotten Slovak village while his mother Martina works in a distant city and rarely finds time to visit her son. Summer passes slowly, and tall Enrique passes the time waiting for his mother by riding mopeds and getting into minor mischief with friends. At the same time, he dutifully carries out his mother's tasks — at first without question, but soon begins to suspect they are not as innocent as they seemed. Rumors about Martina spread through the village, and Enrique gradually begins to doubt the image he has formed of his mother.
