Fairy Tale Forest - Open Forest Day

The 6th edition of the Fairy Tale Path will take place on Saturday, 23 May 2026 from 13:00 in Trutnov's forest park. The event is part of the nationwide Open Forest Day, organized annually by the Association of Municipal, Private and Church Forest Owners in the Czech Republic (SVOL) — in Trutnov, Forests and Parks Trutnov traditionally participates. The route is approximately 2 km long, where visitors will encounter fairy tale characters. The accompanying programme includes a forest machinery exhibition, Zoo in a Suitcase (demonstrations of birds of prey and other small animals), a musical concert, face painting, and creative workshops. Tickets are available in online pre-sale from 190 CZK to 500 CZK depending on category; admission on site: child 150 CZK (includes a small gift), adult 90 CZK. The event is usually very well attended.
