Ostrava FOR THE FUTURE!!!

The Ostrava FOR THE FUTURE!!! conference takes place on May 20, 2026 in the Multifunctional Hall Gong in Dolní Vítkovice. It is a full-day public event focused on Ostrava's development, transport, urban planning, and new investment projects. The organizers are industrialist Jan Světlík and Dolní Vítkovice. The programme includes presentations and discussions dedicated to specific investor and political initiatives – particularly addressing Místecká Street, the One Mile project, and possible further connections between the Frýdlant Bridges and Ruská Street. The evening session (18:30–20:00) features a discussion between politicians and experts on the topic "What will Ostrava look like in the future?", moderated by Jakub Železný. The event follows a similar conference held four years ago, where the new Žofinky district and the transformation of part of Dolní Vítkovice into Městopark were first presented.
