TAFELMUSIK: Czech Ensemble Baroque

Czech Ensemble Baroque brings its baroque music programme to Šumperk on Saturday, 22 August 2026 at the Klášterní kostel Zvěstování Panny Marie. This is one of two Czech dates on their tour, with the second stop in Prague in September. The church, originally part of a Dominican monastery founded in 1293, acquired its present baroque appearance following a fire in 1669 and the subsequent reconstruction completed in 1688. Now owned by the city of Šumperk, the historic building provides an authentic setting for the performance of music from the very period in which the church itself was rebuilt.
