A series of organ and sacred music concerts at the Basilica of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Hejnice runs from May 2 to December 13, 2026. The event is organized by the Hejnice parish in cooperation with the monastery. The 2026 season opened on May 2 at 15:30 with the Kings College School Choral Society – a choir from Cambridge conducted by James Randle. In June 2026, Dvořák's Stabat Mater (1876) will be performed by the Via ad Artem ensemble on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of this sacred work. Concerts take place irregularly, mainly on Saturdays during the summer season. Tickets are sold half an hour before the start directly at the venue; standard admission is typically 100 CZK. The basilica, built in 1722–1729 according to the design of Prague architect Thomas Haffenecker, is part of the complex of a former Franciscan monastery from the late 17th century. Inside the basilica is the family tomb of the Gallus lords, the original presbytery with an old field altar of Albrecht von Wallenstein, and the most precious exhibit – a wooden Gothic sculpture of the Virgin Mary of Hejnice from the late 14th century. The monastery offers barrier-free access, parking, and bus parking. The detailed programme for the season is published on the Hejnice parish website.
