Hejnice
The Baroque Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Hejnice is one of the most important Marian pilgrimage sites in northern Bohemia and a national cultural monument. Its centuries-long pilgrimage tradition has earned it the nickname "the Bohemian Mariazell". The present twin-towered church dates from the 1730s and stands beside a former Franciscan monastery. It houses a Gothic Mater Formosa statuette from the 14th century and the field altar of Albrecht von Wallenstein.
