Greek Saturday at Veveří Castle

The 14th edition of this popular event features a rich cultural programme running from 10:00 to 22:00. The programme includes singer Froso Tarasidu, bands Poseidonas and Quaraba, and dance ensembles Prométheus and Lycea of Greek Women in the Czech Republic. The event offers Greek dance lessons with instructors and a popular dance party with the band Prométheus and DJ Vasilis. The accompanying programme features the exhibition "Greeks in Moravia". The event is unique in presenting organisations and institutions from Brno and the Czech Republic dedicated to Greece and Greek culture — the organisers aim to share cultural traditions and the historical ties between Moravia and Greece with the public. Greek refreshments and delicacies are available throughout the day. Please note: due to repairs to the South (lower) gate, entry to the castle is only possible via the West (upper) gate from the U Matky Boží bus stop.
